PlumbLink is a growing plumbing, heating and home improvements company based in High Wycombe.
We provide professional domestic plumbing and heating services throughout High Wycombe and the surrounding areas and are looking for a reliable Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team on a full time basis.
This is a long term opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers and is comfortable working independently.
The Role
As a PlumbLink Plumbing & Heating Engineer, you will attend customers’ homes to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, complete installations and undertake general plumbing and heating work.
You will be expected to manage each job professionally from arrival through to completion, keeping customers informed and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
Typical work will include:
• General domestic plumbing repairs
• Leak detection and repairs
• Tap, toilet and sanitaryware repairs
• Bathroom plumbing and installations
• Pipework repairs and alterations
• Hot and cold water systems
• Radiator installation and replacement
• Central heating fault finding and repairs
• Heating pumps, valves and controls
• Boiler servicing and repairs where appropriately qualified
• Heating system maintenance
• Power flushing
• Emergency plumbing repairs
• General plumbing and heating installations
• Identifying and reporting additional works required
The role will involve a mixture of planned appointments, maintenance, installations and reactive callouts.
Customer Service
Our engineers represent PlumbLink directly when attending customers’ properties.
You should be confident communicating with customers, explaining faults clearly and providing professional recommendations where further work may be required.
Accurate job notes and photographs of work completed will be required for each appointment.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with strong practical experience who is comfortable working independently.
Ideally, you will have:
• Good domestic plumbing and heating experience
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Relevant plumbing qualifications or proven industry experience
• Gas Safe registration and relevant gas qualifications if carrying out gas work
• Full UK driving licence
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Ability to organise and manage daily appointments
• High standard of workmanship
• Good understanding of domestic plumbing and heating systems
• Ability to identify additional work when required
• Smartphone and ability to complete digital job records
Gas Safe registration is desirable for the wider Plumbing & Heating Engineer role but plumbers who do not undertake gas work may also be considered depending on experience.
Working Area
The role is primarily based around High Wycombe and the surrounding areas within approximately a 10 to 15 mile radius.
Typical areas include High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Marlow, Amersham, Hazlemere, Holmer Green, Bourne End, Wooburn Green, Princes Risborough and surrounding locations.

We are particularly interested in engineers who can confidently attend jobs independently, diagnose problems, complete work properly and provide customers with the level of service expected from PlumbLink.
Experienced engineers capable of handling more complex plumbing and heating work may be considered for our Senior Engineer salary of up to £45,000 per year.
